I know, I should have done this a month ago, but it’s never to late right? It also makes me look at my pictures again, which it’s pretty cool, bring back the good memories!

We spend four days in San Francisco and we have seen a lot during those days! Our apartment was in Oakland which in the other side side of the water, one of my favourite neighbourhood was there, Bekerly. If you are passing by, you have to go for a picnic at the park near the water, you will have a fantastic view of the Golden gate.

In San Francisco my favourite neighbourhood is definitely Mission District, but I also really liked Outer Sunset (ocean side) and Japantown! Oh and it might look cheesy, but I really enjoyed watching the sea lions at Pier 39!

Here’s my San Francisco Address:

Tartine Bakery  600 Guerrero Street San Francisco, CA 94110 This place is crazy good, you will face a line-up, but it’s definitely worth the wait! Try the Jambon Royale & Gruyère sandwich, delicious!!!
Sea Lions Pier 39

Outer Sunset For a day at the beach, this is the place to be, but you need to have to be lucky to get clear sky without fog...

Daiso Japan Center 22 Peace Plaza, Japantown You should try to go watch a movie at one of the Japanese theatre

Coqueta Pier 5, The Embarcadero, San Francisco, 94111 Great tapas restaurant near the water, not too expensive!

Back-To-Work

Back-To-Work-Outfit

Today, was my back-to-reality day, back-to-work you know! I have to confess that it was quite hard to wake up when my Happy from Pharell alarm started this morning at 6am…  But as soon I was back at my desk with my coworkers, I was right where I had to be, at my place :) I realized quick enough that I had missed them and also my everyday tasks which are never the same and make my job so special, I am a really lucky girl that, I know it!

Portland

Portland Dock

Hey! I’m back home in Montreal, but vacation Is not finish, I still have until next Tuesday to relax! Here’s the second part of my West Coast Road Trip recap, this time it’s about Portland. We both really enjoyed our time in Portland, it’s a young, fun and colourful city. The public transportation is easy and cheap and there are tons of good restaurants and coffee. What I also enjoy is that music, art and book seem really important for them, and it’s a point that is important for me too.

First let’s start with day one, for our first day, we explored downtown. Of course, I did some shopping ;) since we don’t have a J. Crew here in Montreal I took advantage of the situation you know!! The places you have to visit downtown are; first go grab a good coffee at Stumptown coffee at the Ace Hotel. From there you will be after a two minutes walk at one of the biggest bookstore I ever saw, Powell’s. You might get lost there for a while so you will need a little snack after that and nothing better than Voodoo Doughnut in Portland ;) This place is so cool I was literally like a kid in front of the hundreds of different flavors they have!! Pearl district is the neighbourhood to go for good shopping, after you explored the neighbourhood I recommend Boxer Ramen right in front of the Ace Hotel. The painted walls of this restaurant are just too adorable! We finished our first day downtown at the Portland Fashion Week, without invitation haha!  That was so cool, we were practically front row, I wasn’t that impressed by the collections, but still it was a really cool and unplanned experience!

For our second day, we explored Division district, which is on the other side of the river that splits downtown, but first we started our day with a good breakfast at Sweedeedee, it’s a Hipster coffee where they served only organic food and mostly from local market, I really enjoyed it! I really wanted to go to Division to try the famous restaurant Pok-Pok, but we also went to see another famous place for Karim pleasure, Burnside Skatepark, which was built by skateboarders themselves under the Burnside bridge!

We also tried the famous ice-cream place Salt & Straw, after that,  we  needed to take a walk haha! it was really good,  but extremely rich! We went for a small hike at Mount Tabor Park, it’s really beautiful there and it’s a perfect place to take a nap under the sun! We finished our day at Pok-Pok and it was better than what I expected, you really have to go there one time!

On our last day in Portland, we went for a hiking trip to Columbia River Gorge, then we ended our day downtown,  we made a quick stop at the Adidas headquarters so we could take pictures of us with the giant Superstar outside the building ;)

This hiking day, was one of the highlights on this trip, it was so beautiful there and it’s only a 40 minutes drive from downtown Portland. The forest is just too beautiful and the Columbia river surrounded by mountains is breathtaking.

Viva Las Vegas

I’m back from Vegas, while I was on my way there, in the air last Sunday, I made a post for you. The thing is that the application on my phone for my blog buged and the post never left as I thought… FAIL!!! It was about some tips on what to wear and bring on a plane. Now, that I’m back it’s not really relevant so I made a fresh new one for you, with some pictures I took while I was there.

Unfortunately there’s a lot of pictures I can’t share, but it will give you a good idea of the vibe between the different fashion trade shows :) If you have any questions, don’t be shy!

Mural Festival 2014

Etam-Mural-Montreal

For four days in Montreal, from the 12 to the 15th of June, took place the Mural Festival. 20 artists from Montreal,  but also from all around the world leave their trace on different walls downtown. I’m totally in love with the concept, it’s a free outdoor museum, free electronic music shows and a good way to start the summer!

I took some pictures for you, But you should go take a look for yourself, even if the festival ended yesterday, the art pieces, they are still there!

Post Card From California

I’m back from California and happy to be be with my love, but I’m already missing warmth and the beach!! We spent most of the week with the Vans team and the spring 2015 collection is fabulous!!! It’s so hard to see a line so in advance and not get to wear it before a year!

As you can imagine I can’t really talk about it,  but I can show you some postcard pictures from my trip! You will see that I have a lot  of pictures from the beach, when you are from Montreal and you just spent the last five months in the cold, you kind of want to capture the moment!!!!
Enjoy xxx

Las Vegas Through Los Angeles Pictures Diary

Wow! I didn’t post anything for a week, that was the longest time without blogging since a long time!! I’m super happy to be back home,  but in the same time I already missed the sun of L.A. It was a really cool trip, really inspiring I have a tons of great ideas for my fall 2014 buys wich I have to do in the up coming weeks!

We did a two-days stores visit in Los Angeles, we saw the coolest stores, eat healthy food and enjoyed the hot sun of California. Oh and I finally found my Adidas slide sandals, now I just can’t wait to finally have the chance to wear them. Sun, when are you planning to come in Montreal?

Here’s my pictures diary of my trip, you can roll over the pictures to see the comment!

Borrowed From The Boys

Borrowed-From-The-Boy

Yes, this is how I was feeling about myself, when I borrowed some ideas from the boys to get dressed this morning. It’s not necessarily men’s clothes, but sometimes just ideas that I get from them, or the way I wear my clothes. I mostly get inspired by old pictures of men at work from the 1920s, I can’t explain why, I just love the styles from this era.

On an other note, tomorrow is my last day at my current job, ayayay after ten years, it will be hard to say good-bye. I am an emotive person, and I cry for nothing so you can imagine how I will feel and look tomorrow in front of everyone haha!! I’m turning a page of my life, a beautiful chapter and I will keep in my heart all the memories that I collected over the years.
