It’s Been A While

Hello, I know it’s been a while since the last time I came here. I think I needed a little break. I traveled a lot for work lately and when I’m home, I spend this quiet time with my family. You deserve an apology and behold, I am sorry.

I’m pretty good, you? My trip last fall in Barcelona – Morocco & Lisbon was amazing and since I travel a lot, I thought I should talk more to travel on this blog. Do not worry, I will not drop the fashion world, its way too much of my life and I cannot live without it!

Would you like customize city guide that I visited? I will soon launch my new, Barcelona, stay tuned !! xxx

Let’s Talk About Men’s

Not bad for the eyes right? I love men’s styles, as fun as it is to buy for ladies, I enjoyed a lot the time I was buying for men’s. I also got inspired a lot from the menswear and not only lately, I always have been. The men’s shows started a couples of days ago, so I pulled out for you my favourites streets shots that I found on the web. Of course Eugene’s on some of them, he’s my all time best!!

New York Photo Diary

Hey! Sorry for my silence of the past week, a lot happened at work lately. I’ve been promoted to Ladies Buyer and it’s been pretty intense since then, I’m sure you understand! I just got back from New York and I took pictures especially to share them with you.  I will present them to you as a diary, let’s start!!

The first day we did our usual stores visits, to get inspiration and see what is happening on the East Coast. Most of the pictures have been taken in Soho where our hotel was located.

Saturdays Surf NYC, I love that cute little surf shop, it’s quit unusual to pass by a surf shop in NYC, and that makes it even more special and unique. Only for their coffee, it’s worth the trip

Now, let’s talk about food, one of my favorite things to do in New York is to try new restaurants. I have a list on my phone and every time I go, I try a new place. This time our Vice President was kind enough to let me use my list !! We tried two of them, first of, Miss Lily. OMG I was so happy to try it, too good and the atmosphere is really fun. You really must try the corn !!

Then we tried Two Hands  for lunch, if you are looking for a healthy place to start your day, this is the place to go. I’ve tried the Avo Toast with a side of chorizo and a cold press juice, Beet, Ginger, Carrot and pineapple, it was perfect!!

For breakfast, my GMM brought me to Balthazar Bakery, it’s a traditional French bistro,  on spring street.

Oh and another must in Soho, is Dean and Deluca. It’s a gourmet food grocery and to-go place, Karim and I always stop there before leaving New York, it’s perfect for a picnic.

15 Ways To Wear Culottes This Spring

If you’re not convinced after all these great outfit, I don’t know what to add … I’m the #1 fan of the culottes, it’s like a hybrid of a skirt and a pair of trouser! You can wear them with heels at work or with a pair of sneaker for a more casual look.

Spring Shopping!!

Antropologie

Antropologie

I went window shopping yesterday, I do this sometimes to give me inspiration and to see what’s new on the market! It was that kind of day that everything you have tried fits well, but you can’t spend your money on clothes. Yeah it was that kind of day.

I have to say that the new Studio collection form H&M is beautiful as the trends collection, I was in love with so many pieces. I also found a lot of beautiful pieces at Antropologie, and Zara of course! I finally bought a dress at Urban Outfitters from their Urban Renewal line. This collection is handcrafted in Philadelphia and made from vintage, dead stock and surplus materials from around the world and I find it really cool!! This is the dress I bought  in Khaki! I pictured myself wearing it with my New Balance sneakers and my Filippa k long vest.

Here are some of the pieces I’ve tried. My favourites is the khaki skirt from H&M and the Isabel Marant inspired kimono top from Zara

#Staycation

Staycation, most of the time it means vacation when you don’t have the money to go somewhere else. It’s my case this week  since I’m keeping my money for my next trip in October.  So here are some tips to enjoy that time with yourself in your hometown!

  1. Grocery

Before starting your staycation, the first day go do your groceries and get everything you will need for the week. Buy the food you like and don’t forget your favourite snack and of course some wine bottles! Plan, so you don’t have to get out for that during the week.

2. Treat yourself

This is the perfect time to take a day at a spa, treat yourself and take an extra treatment, whether is a massage or another body treatment!  Bring your favourite book and enjoy that moment with yourself to completely relax!

3. Treat yourself economic options

You don’t have the money to go to the spa? Then take this opportunity to go at a hair salon and treat yourself with a nice brushing, they often offer a glass of wine while you have your hair being washed, a good compromise right? You can have this for less than 20$ in most of hair salon. Another option is to get a manicure/pedicure, again just a little treat for yourself! Of course the most economic option is to do this at home, take a nice warm bath, apply a face mask and relax!

4. Free activities

All cities have free activities to offer, free day at the museum, free concert, I’m sure you can find great activities for free! Here’s a link for 50 free activities in Montreal  For your city just type on google “free activities to do in” and add your city!

5. Read & Watch

This is the perfect time to finally read that book waiting for you on the shelve and that TV show that your friends are always talking about. Go to your Netflix account and start a list to watch for the week!

6. Friends

Most of us have friends that don’t have to same work schedule than us, and it’s always hard to find the perfect time to see them. Now you have the time, make this week the perfect occasion for reunion, schedule a brunch or a shopping day with your friend!

7. Never have the time to do things…

We all have a list of stuff we never have the time to do whether is at home or in life, take this opportunity to scratch them on your to-do-list!

For my part, I’m planning to do Yoga every day, read, go to the spa and taking it easy with a glass of wine every night!!! If you have great staycation ideas to share don’t be shy!!

That 70s Show

Fur-Collar-Coat-That-70-Show

That 70s Show, yes the seventies are definitely back in fashion!! We’ve seen its reintroduction from the past seasons. Slowly, but certainly and next fall, be prepared its will be the most seen trend.

We took these pictures last week-end, before I’ve seen Chloé runaways, and now since I’ve seen it I’m even more into the seventies comeback. Her collection is by far my favourite of the season, but I will share with you my comments about it later this week.

Every piece I wear in the pictures are vintage and I’m proud of it. There’s nothing better than the real deal right? So how are you feeling about a seventies comeback?? Please leave me your comments and I will share them in my part two, cause yes,  there is a part two!! Stay tuned!

Dana Indigo Skinny Jeans

“You fit me better than my favourite sweater”, like Lana Del Ray said (I know she doesn’t mean the jeans) there’s nothing better than a good pair of blue denim jeans. No matter you’re wearing them with your favourite sneaker the casual way, or with a sexy pair of heels, you know that you will look good.

Most of the time in fashion,  “Keep It Simple” is the way to go! I just received this new pair of blue skinny from Well binder, do you find they look good on me?

Spring Wish List

Ahh! the season change! Every time, it gives us the need to shop for some newness for our closet, right? Spring is actually a tricky season, if you live in a cold country like Canada. You have to be careful with your choices and keep it simple and modest , cause as soon as the sun and the warm days will be back, you will want to go shopping again but that time for summer clothes!!

Keep it simple with neutral colours, leave the fun for the accessories or by trying a new silhouette. For myself, I’m planning to do a Maxi Slip Dress in Silk,  that for now I will be wearing with boots and then this summer with a nice pair of slide sandals!

Have you already started your spring shopping?
